feeling you fade

please, take your hands and hold the evening still, hold everything still so it doesn't run passed my eyelashes or parted lips like the breeze sucking away all life as it curls into the atmosphere.

please, stop my tears, catch them before they run out of skin to bleed on.

shove something in my mouth and let my teeth grip onto it, my sobs sink into it so no one can hear. shut off the lights and let me fall away, disintegrate into something like sea salt or leaves flying through the air.
